SEDA aims to promote the design of communities, environments, projects, systems, services, materials and products which enhance the quality of life and are not harmful to living species and planetary ecology.

SEDA is a charity and is run by a Board of Directors, who are elected at Annual General Meetings and who oversee its activities and actively promote SEDA to the wider public. The Board meet 8 times a year for discussion and for planning the activities of the Association.
